History of GSS

Established on June 9, 1995, General Security Services Bonaire N.V. (GSS) traces its origins to the vision of Uranio A. Neuman, a former security officer at a local bank. Following his retirement, Neuman sought to leverage his extensive experience in the security sector for the betterment of his community. Driven by both his passion for the island and a recognition of the security needs along Bonaire’s west coast, particularly to safeguard visitors drawn to its pristine beaches for diving and snorkeling, Neuman initiated GSS‘s inaugural beach patrol.

In 2005, leadership of the company transitioned to Mr. Neuman’s daughter, marking a generational shift in leadership.
In its nascent stages, GSS swiftly expanded its portfolio to include comprehensive security solutions.
This evolution encompasses property security at hotels, safeguarding local schools and providing security services for
government entities.
